More painters mean more repaints for your flightsimming pleasure!
And two talented fellow painters accepted my offer to join me here so please welcome Juan Sebastian Gonzalez and Elias Merino. The fact they both hail from Colombia is not an indication that we are setting up some painting cartel but merely a possible reminder that the passion for aviation that we all share is also very strong and alive in Latin America!
They both have been active in the fs world for quite a while and you might find many of their respective contributions on the usual flightsim sites. What you will find here is their latest repaints, listed alongside my own files on the airlines and general aviation pages.
Initial paints featured here by Juan cover many Colombian subjects, including Satena, Viva Colombia and several smaller cargo and air taxi operators.
Elias' repaints cover ABSA Cargo, ABX, Aerosucre, Air Choice One, Ameristar, Caribbean Airlines, Kavoc Air, Keylime Air, Peruvian Airlines, Planemasters and Xtra Airways
Enjoy and stay tuned for more goodies in the near future

Yes it's been a while since I updated the site, but the paintshop remained active through this period, mainly focusing on FAIB's amazing new Boeing 737 series, covering the NG models after the previous classics released earlier this year.
My new repaints cover the following airlines:

This week's batch of new repaints takes us to the Bahamas, with Bahamasair's latest addition to their fleet in the shape of Boeing 737-500s that replace and upgrade their older 737-200s. So you now have repaints for both sub-types on the fabulous FAIB models available here
From the Atlantic Ocean, we then go to the Mediterranean with another Boeing 737-500, operated by Air Mediterranee. This one, also featuring the FAIB new model, complements my previous collection of that airline's Airbus fleet.
Available here
And still heading further east, we reach Belarus and a fleet update for the country's national airline Belavia. This includes both Boeing 737-300 and 500 for the new FAIB model, and also the airline's latest fleet member, a brand new Embraer 175
All three are to be found here
As usual now for FAIB models, you have an option between standard textures that will look good in both fs9 and fsx, and native fsx hi resolution textures that will only work with that version of the simulator, so don't forget to pick up the one that is right for you!

The new Boeing 747-8 has been released by UTT, complete with a few repaints by yours truly :-)
These include the Cargolux fleet of 4 aircraft, each one featuring a large coat of arms of the city after which they are named. And while painting the Cargolux birds, I also added a couple of standard 747-400s in a simplified 'albino' livery. Check them out here
Another operator for the freighter is Cathay Pacific Cargo, and you get two variations: B-LJB in the standard CPA livery, and B-LJA named 'Hong Kong Trader' with special markings and livery. Get both here
And finally, Korean Air Cargo with one airframe, available here

FAIB does it again! After the stunning baby Boeing, Erez graces us with more of the 737 family, including the 300, 400 and 500 in all of their main variations. And as with the previous -200 series, these models come in two flavours: native fsx model and HD textures, and standard ones compatible with fs9
Time for me to revisit some of my older paints, starting with the Ukrainian airlines, who are still heavily relying on the 737 classics.
First, we have Aerosvit, with no less than 12 aircraft represented here, featuring the various sub-types and the mix of old colours/new colours, wingletted or not... Check them out here
Aerosvit's sister airline Dniproavia is obviously also featured, including 5 aircraft variations
Available here
And finally, Ukraine International with 8 aircraft variations, including their single all-cargo 737-300
Get them here
After painting all these 737s, I needed a break and turned my attention to an aircraft that was missing from the ai skies... Israir's ATR 72. So here it is, in the Israeli airline's vibrant new livery.
More to come soon...

What do a hare, a snow leopard and a polar bear have in common? All three animals have been voted official mascots of the upcoming Winter Olympics to be held in the Black Sea resort of Sochi in 2014. And Aeroflot being the 'official carrier' of the games, they have recently painted these mascots on Airbus A320 VP-BZP
This aircraft is now also available for your flight simming pleasure here!
But there are more animals flying around for you today! What about a Peregrine Falcon? This one is called Sapsan in Russian and is flying high in Kazakhstan, Sapsan Air being the name of a recently started domestic airline that operates two Bombardier CRJ-200s.
Get it here
Sheer coincidence, but a new set of summer flightplans for Sapsan Air have just been released today on avsim.su
No animal link to follow on, but another new Kazakhstan operator for the CRJ-200, with SCAT Air replacing its Yak-42s with three of these on its domestic network
Available here
And finally, yet another new CRJ operator, this time in Russia, with Severstal introducing the type to its regional network.

Unless you have spent the past few months in deep coma, you KNOW that the Euro 2012 football cup is under way in Poland and Ukraine!
But just in case, LOT Polish Airlines added some special markings to several aircraft in its fleet to remind you of what is going on in their home country. This includes both Embraers 175s and 195s.
As a bonus, you get the smaller EMB-170 in the standard new colours
Get them all here
But what about Ukraine, who is also co-host of the Euro 2012?
Well, no special markings, but take a look at the Area 51, and you will see some Ukrainian colours that should come your way soon!

May Day was a good day to find some time sorting out my latest repaints! :-) So here come a few things just off the paintshop for your flightsimming enjoyment!
Continuing the FAIB Boeing 737-200 saga, here comes the complete Rutaca fleet, that operates in Venezuela.
Can you spot all the tiny differences between each aircraft? No two are 100% identical, even the door stencils are different from one to another!
As usual with the FAIB models, you get two options, with a separate package including specific high rez textures for fsx.
These packages are available here
On an entirely different hand, here's also a new member in LOT Polish Airline's growing Embraer fleet, with their latest E-195 being delivered featuring the airline's new colours.

Still working on populating the ai skies with more examples of the fabulous FAIB Boeing 737-200 model, we have today three more current operators of the type, one from the U.S and two from Indonesia, all three are available here and soon from avsim as well. These include Merpati Nusantara, Sriwijaya Air and Sierra Pacific Airlines.
As a reminder, the FAIB Boeing 737-200 is the first ai model built specifically for fsx, and although it works perfectly in either variant of the sim, it takes advantage of FSX's improved visuals and offers fsx users Hi Resolution textures. As a result, my repaints for this model come in two flavours: fs9 which include the usual set of 32bits plus mipped and non-mipped dxt3, and fsx which include the special Hi rez textures only supported by that version.
Just make sure you download the file best suited for your version of Flight Sim

FSX AI Bureau is a brand new name in the flightsim world, and this new 'brand' makes a dashing start in the ai world with a breathtaking rendition of the 'Baby' Boeing, the classic 737-200!
Possibly the first ai aircraft truly designed with fsx in mind, it takes advantage of that version's enhanced graphic potential, and graces us with 'High Definition' 2048x2048 textures, in a format native to fsx.
These larger textures are only supported by fsx, but fs9 users can also enjoy this bird in their sim, the larger original textures allowing for a higher level of detail even at the standard fs9 format.
To make things easier and avoid confusion, I have separated my packages into 'fs9' which can be used as any other ai package in either version of the sim, and 'fsx' which include the fsx-only HD textures.
My first series of repaints include a selection of currently operational airframes, including:
Avior Airlines of Venezuela with four variations of their latest livery
Bahamasair with their fleet of two
Lineas Aereas del Sur, a new airline from Argentina
and finally SAT, the Sakhalin based airline that links the Russian Far East to China and Japan with a fleet of two
Chose the format that fits your sim best, and enjoy a new generation of ai perfection!

A minor update on this repaint. The aircraft type on the aft fuselage was showing as "A320-100" instead of "A319-100". This bird has now been scaled down to its real identity. If you had already downloaded my repaint either here or from avsim, you might want to download it again and overwrite the texture with the ones in this new file.

Following up on my Hainan Group update, here comes Tianjin Airlines. China's largest regional carrier is a rather interesting subject as far as repaints are concerned, as they not only have quite a few livery variations currently flying (some in new colours, some still in former Grand China Express markings, and some hybrids), but also feature a few colourful 'logojets'.
What have my friends to do with this? Well, first of all, when painting the 'Yujiapu' logojet, I was faced with a challenge: There is a looong slogan in Chinese on the upper fuselage which was next to impossible for me to reproduce clearly on my repaint...So I contacted one of my friends who can read Chinese and he wrote that text down for me in a format I could use in my repaint.
Then, when I was almost through with that series, Maik Voigt contacted me and offered to use his own paintkit for the Embraer 190. I ported all the textures to his pk, but it was worth the effort as it makes for an even crisper and sharper looking model!
And of course, there is the brand new set of flightplans by Oliver Richter at Alpha India Group's flightplanning department that will take these birds to your virtual skies!
All 8 repaints are now available for download, check them here!

So this invasion started with the A319s, but now let us move to something bigger, the A320!
In fact, this is the latest type to join the Hainan fleet, and many more are on their way, so there will probably be A320s in all of the group's livery variations. So for now, let's start with the most basic one: West Air
Followed by another livery variation in the Hainan Group: Beijing Capital
Lucky Air so far operated only the Boeing 737-700 but has now added some 800s too
And two more variations within the main Hainan fleet, with aircraft featuring the Shanxi Airlines and Chang An airlines titles over the standard Hainan livery.

These textures are intended for use as AI traffic in Microsoft's Flight Simulator versions 9 and 10.
They have been thoroughly researched and painted based on actual pictures of the real aircraft, so that each individual aircraft is an exact replica of the real thing at the time of painting, down to the precise windows configuration and the stencils colours and locations.
To view them in your simulator, you need first to download and install the base aircraft models/packages available separately . Most of these models are available from the usual avsim and/or flightsim libraries, but I have provided a link to these base packages on this site for your easy reference. Check the links section.
You will also need adequate flightplans to take these birds into your virtual skies. Running a search on avsim and flightsim libraries will get you up to date flightplans for most of the world's airlines
Most of my repaints are provided in three textures formats: 32bits, dxt3 and dxt3 with mipmaps.
AI traffic can draw heavily on your computer resources and significantly reduce your sim's framerate. Using the right set of textures can improve your framerate and ensure smooth and
lifelike movements.
Basically, 32bits texture are larger and therefore having more pixels, will have sharper details and will look better in your sim, particularly at close range. Downside is they take up more HD
space and use more resources.
Mipped textures are supposed to be what fs is really looking for, and will ensure the best framerate and movement smoothness. However, if your graphic processor is an older or a lower end one,
with less than 1GB dedicated memory, mipped textures will look awfully blurred.
To keep things simple, if you run your sim on a new, powerful, high end computer, go for the 32bits or mipped textures, or use the 32bits only for intricate liveries where the quality of finer
details will make a difference.
On the other hand, if you are using an older less powerful machine, or if you are not sure or don't know what all this means, go for the non-mipped dxt3 format.
